Life on the ocean is alive in many ways, and mother nature is playing the theme song at all times. Makai has experienced all sorts of weather, and is prepared as long as you have prepared her, and are prepared yourself!

She has three reef points, 1 and 2 are always ready from the cockpit, and the side clears are also standing by for those windy rainy or spray days and nights.

The weather is available 24/7 on Makai via her Starlink system and Garmin InReach backup.
Maps & Navigation
Makai is equipped with the latest C-Map data including aerial photo overlays. In the Bahamas, the Explorer charts will load as an option, but there are paper copies of the maps onboard for simple reference and planning.
Below are some other apps we use for navigation. TZiBoat also has the explorer charts and weather can be added as an additional layer, it also has a very good anchor alarm. For routing we use PredictWind.
